Hoppity Hop I’ve been Blog Hopped.

Writer Jason Cantrell from Writing Possibilities was sweet and tagged me quite some time ago in this blog hop and finally I am getting to it! (Sorry it took so long Jason. You’re a true sweetheart for waiting and not flogging me.)

So…..

What is the working title of your book?

Well, uh which one? At this time I am currently working on two novels by me, and one being ghostwritten. Obviously I can’t speak to the ghostwritten one, so I should pick one of my manuscripts. Perhaps the most intriguing to me is called “The Malediction”

Where did the idea come from for your book?

Two sources, real life and Twitter. I have a stalker and have had one for ten plus years. In dealing with this stalker, I was on Twitter and posed a question asking my friends what they thought would happen if a woman being stalked suddenly gave herself to the stalker. Twitter responded with great enthusiasm, and The Malediction was born.

What genre does your book fall under?

Dark Suspense/Thriller I would suspect? That could change, who knows.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Seriously? You’re asking ME? Queen of “I have never owned a TV and don’t watch movies, videos, You Tube, Hulu, Netflitz” or any other thing like that? If I had to pick from the movies I have seen, Jack Skelenton and Nemo……. (NO, even *I* would not pick them….although it does give a new thought to “Finding Nemo” fish stalking…..)

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

He wants to consume her soul, she wants the fear to end; trapped in a curse of psychological terror, reality is unleashed upon them both.

(I totally just wrote that right now hahahahahahahahahhahahaha I suck!)

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

It was pitched by my editor (the concept) and has interest? So who knows really. You know me, I write to get the stories out. I worry about publication later. Who knows maybe I’ll sell it ghost?

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

two weeks. two hellacious weeks of the scariest fucking dreams ever that kept me awake until their story was told. Damn….. it was creepy. Is creepy. Creepy S.O.B.’s

What other books would I compare this story too within your genre?

I wouldn’t and won’t. When writers start owning their work, and stop trying to say “My book is similar to this book meets that book,” writers might also stop thinking they suck since they always compare their work to books they think better then their own. I’m not setting myself up that way. This book is compared to itself or compared to none. You choose.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

While I won’t state the legal name of my Stalker, I will state my thoughts regarding how to deal with Sir StalksAlot inspired this. No more, no less.

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

I designed the cover and did the artwork myself.

——-

Well Jason, it took me long enough to give you this lackluster set of responses, but I finally did get it done. I believe I will come back after my doctor’s appointment today and add people I’ll tag to this post, but for now…… I hopped. 🙂 Do I get a reward???

NaNoEdMo is coming folks and as it’s Community Liaison I am going to be busy this week getting our new forums ready to go. Hope to see you there!

Thank you Jason!

What it isn’t…

I am a nut...
It isn’t the tears you’ve cried, the pain you’ve felt, or the abject terror you’ve endured that defines you.  It’s your ability to say boldly, “I cried, hurt, and feared; yet I’m moving forward!” and then act, that makes you who you are!
I am and always will be Cylithria; no more, no less!
Stay tuned for the live blogging of my Camp NaNoWriMo June, 2012 Novel: Born in a Barn
Raw, rugged, un-spell or grammar checked, and blogged in it’s ugly first draft phase; Born in a Barn will hopefully be a romance…..or it will become what it does… 30 Days and 50,000 words will tell.
